Deescalation Training

Overview

This training will cover the basics of de-escalation, specifically the use of strategies and techniques to reduce a person's agitation, aggression, and anxiety in a volatile or crisis situation. This is an essential skill for social workers, case workers and other social service providers who work with people in crisis. The training will be interactive, and feature opportunities to learn practical skills in de-escalation through a trauma informed lens. 

Target Audience

All COHHIO member organizations and homeless assistance providers in the state of Ohio. 

Dissemination

Program Managers, team leaders and staff. 

Who Should Attend

This training will be open to all system partners.
