Join COHHIO in Columbus for a day of collective advocacy and connection at the Ohio Statehouse on Wednesday, October 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Advocacy Day is your opportunity to meet face-to-face with your local Statehouse legislators and tell them what they need to know about homelessness and housing insecurity in your community. Your knowledge and experience provides the critical information they need to support the policies and funding necessary to help us address Ohio's housing crisis!
COHHIO staff make direct advocacy easy for you! Here's how it works:
When you sign up for Advocacy Day, we'll group you with other local advocates and schedule meetings with your state senator, representative, and their staff at their offices in Columbus.
We'll host two advocacy online trainings to prepare you for success (see signup info below).
We'll assign experienced team leaders will guide each small group, but everyone is a full participant and everyone gets a chance to speak during the meetings.
Between your meetings, we'll feed you breakfast and lunch - all for free!
