On April 7th, 2026, Franklin County Economic Development and Planning will hold a public hearing to receive community input on the allocation of 2026 funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for community development and affordable housing activities.
Franklin County, Ohio anticipates receiving the following HUD funds in 2026:
$2,026,554 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
$803,456 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME)
$179,429 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
This public hearing is an opportunity to:
Provide information on funds available for community development and affordable housing activities
Receive citizen input and comments regarding community development and housing needs that were not included in the previous Action Plan
Obtain proposals, questions, and citizen input and comments regarding the development of the 2026 Action Plan, and respond to proposals and questions
Provide an opportunity for the public to comment on program performance for the previous yearObtain input and comments from citizens, residents, public agencies, organizations, and other interested parties on identifying housing and community development needs
Oral and written comments can be submitted during the hearing.
