Affordable Homes: The Foundation of a Top-Tier Community
The Affordable Housing Alliance of Central Ohio believes that affordable homes support economic progress and strengthen community efforts to:
· Supply and train a talented workforce
· Revitalize neighborhoods, where families and children can thrive
· Enable seniors and people with disabilities to live in safe homes
· Help people make a fresh start
Economic, housing market, and population trends are creating a growing housing affordability gap:
54,000 Franklin County households living in poverty now pay more than half of their income for housing.
10-Year Vision: The 54,000-household gap has been cut in half with supply-side and demand-side solutions.
