Financial Well-Being and Wealth among Young Adults

In today’s evolving economic and policy landscape, young adults are navigating complex financial challenges and opportunities. From managing debt and building credit to accessing tools for long-term wealth creation, this generation faces unique circumstances that shape their financial well-being. To help policymakers and practitioners better understand the challenges and opportunities for young adults, the Urban Institute’s Early Life Wealth Building Learning Community is inviting researchers, implementation partners, and experts from existing programs to come together.

The event will focus on understanding the financial health and wealth of young adults in America. We will uplift research across Urban related to young adults’ financial health and well-being, including intergenerational wealth transfers, debt, barriers to wealth building, and long-term projections for national changes in household wealth. Following research presentations and questions, we will hear from a panel of experts focused on improving access to financial health, wealth, and tools.
