RISE Forward Event to Empower Columbus Residents with Resources, Education, and Community Connection

The RISE Center is proud to announce RISE Forward, a community engagement event taking place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 240 Champion Ave, Columbus, OH 43203. This free event is designed to bring together residents, families, local organizations, and community partners for an afternoon of empowerment, education, and celebration.

The RISE Center (Resident Initiatives for Success & Empowerment) is a centralized social services hub launched by the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA). Its mission is to empower Franklin County residents—especially those living in affordable housing—by connecting them to essential resources.

RISE Forward will feature a robust lineup of activities and resources aimed at promoting financial literacy, housing stability, and access to essential social services. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with community leaders, explore local programs, and enjoy family-friendly entertainment.

“This event is about more than just resources—it’s about building relationships and creating pathways to opportunity,” said Sandra Lopez, Community Impact Manager for Fifth Third Bank. “We’re proud to be one of the partner organizations that share our commitment to empowering families and strengthening our community.”
