Council President Shannon G. Hardin will host a public hearing to discuss proposed zoning code changes that would allow churches and other faith organizations to repurpose underused parking lots and other vacant land for affordable housing opportunities. This initiative–called "Yes in God's Backyard"–is part of Columbus Forward.

Those interested in testifying should email Jessica Clinger at JNClinger@columbus.gov. Remarks will be limited to three minutes. Those interested in submitting written remarks can do so by emailing them to JNClinger@columbus.gov with "Written Testimony - 10/2 YIGBY Hearing" in the subject line. All testimony is due by 5 p.m. on Oct. 1.
